Summer Baseball Clinic • Register • View Cart •

Well-used softball mitt, bat, helmet, and balls piled on the grass.
Led by Canton High Schools Varsity Coach, Dave Walsh, this clinic with give youth baseball players the chance to focus on valuable aspects of the game, while learning the key qualities of strong player development.

This clinic is designed to keep baseball players engaged and thinking about baseball even during the off season! Sessions will be held on Monday evenings for a total of 6 weeks throughout the summer. We hope to see you there!

Clinic Focus:




  1. Player development 


  2. Infield play (footwork, glove strengthen drills, position specific throwing mechanics)


  3. Outfield play (footwork, drop steps, glove strengthen drills, throwing mechanics and read and react drills)


  4. Catcher play (receiving, blocking, glove work, quick hands, throwing mechanics, primary and secondary stances)


  5. Defensive concepts (baseball IQ, positioning, cutoffs, backup plays and situational awareness)


  6. Hitting (approach, mechanics, being dynamic, proper use of body to maximize hard hit contact , competing in the box and developing bat to ball skills)


  7. Pitching (mechanics, dry drills, balance, commanding the zone and being a competitor on the mound)


  8. Base running techniques
