Come join us and the Walk Bike and Hike Committee on April 6th (Rain Date April 7th) from 10:00am-12:00pm as we look to Keep Canton Beautiful! This town wide clean up events purpose is to make Canton a cleaner, greener, litter-free place to live, work and play. We encourage you to get as many people as you can to try and help this initiative.
We have specific locations you can sign up for in town. Those locations are Town Center (Town hall to Cobbs Corner), Luce School/Senior Center/Pequitside/Earl New House Waterfront, Galvin/Hanson School, JFK School, Green Lodge Park and Ride, Paul Revere & Canton Junction Neighborhood, Messinger Park/Bailey Street Conservation Area, Blue Hill Regional School and Rte 138.
We also will be looking for co-site leaders who will help organize and support volunteers at their site. Responsibilities of a co-site leader would be to check people in, have a first aid kit ready, have trash bags, gloves and tools ready for volunteers. Please mark off on the registration page if you would be interested in being a site leader. They are pivotal in the success of this event.
Post clean-up we will invite everyone back to the High School for a thank you BBQ. More details to come in the next couple of weeks.
This event wouldn't be possible without the sponsors we get. Those sponsors include, Boston Mutual Life Insurance Company, Minuteman Press Canton, Republic Services, Orchard Cove, Friends of the Blue Hills, Bank of Canton, Draper Knitting, Dr. Alan M Rapoport, O.D., and Trillium Brewing Company.
