Summer LIT Program
The summer Leader- In-Training Program is an opportunity for students ages 12-13 to join the Canton Parks & Recreation summer community! This leadership program is meant to help guide individuals into the working world. Participants will give hands on experience working with each camp offered through the recreation department. Leading as “CIT’s,” these participants will be introduced to the ins and outs of being a staff member for the Recreation department. Participants will be given a schedule for each week. Some days you may be with the Pequitside Day Camp, others you may be with Blast Off or Playground. But don’t worry! Campers in the LIT program will be led by our LIT team coordinator to make sure any and all questions are answered!
LIT participants will join our Edge Camp for a field trip twice a week! On the alternate days they will get to enjoy being a leader in one of our several summer day camp!
